// a collaborative learning and practice space

Welcome to the website for Applied Research in Children’s Studies. As a class, we will learn about the fundamental elements of research, explore issues related to conducting research regarding children and youth, and profile selected methods as they pertain to conducting research in children’s studies. Our classes’ research teams will be applying what we are learning to design research projects that study a topic within children’s studies.

Collaboratively, we will enliven this as a digital, social space to:
Deepen our understanding of the course material through our writing
Practice learning as an iterative, generative process that involves testing, sharing, reflecting, and refining
Engage those interested in the study of children and youth – inside and outside our class – in the act of human inquiry.

Check out our class blog to see our most recent activity, and these NYC maps dealing with issues affecting children and youth!
